A Wish Come True
The best part? The project doesn’t stop with the paint. After its display at The Peninsula London (displayed until October 30, 2024), the car’s unique bonnet will be auctioned off by Art of Wishes, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish. This means that the fusion of McLaren’s innovation and Ilori’s artistry will actually help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses. This project was launched during Frieze London, one of the world’s best known art fairs. The live art installation brought together a community of art aficionados, car lovers, tech enthusiasts, and curious onlookers, each witnessing the birth of a unique artwork. It wasn’t just about viewing art—it was about experiencing it, as the Artura took centre stage in this crowded space, inviting everyone to see how creativity and purpose can coexist beautifully.

It’s no surprise that McLaren chose to partner with an artist like Ilori for a project like this. Both McLaren and Ilori are known for pushing boundaries.
