BUILT FOR EVERYONE.
Love The Idea® is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. This means we work to ensure our content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those using assistive technologies.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML to support screen readers and keyboard navigation
- Provide a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen reader users
- Provide visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields
- Include descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Ensure interactive elements are keyboard-accessible
- Use ARIA labels and live regions where appropriate to support assistive technology
- Avoid relying solely on colour to convey information
- Design for mobile and low-bandwidth environments
Known limitations
We are continuously improving this site and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, but some areas do not yet fully comply. Known issues include:
- Some secondary text (e.g. footer links and stats labels) does not yet meet the 4.5:1 colour contrast ratio
- Some images on older blog posts, migrated from our previous platform, may have missing or generic alt text
- Some embedded video content does not yet have captions or transcripts
We are working to address these areas progressively. If you encounter any of these issues, please let us know using the contact details below.
