Here goes to the most anticipated major comeback of Samsung Galaxy S series. A few weeks from now and we’ll finally get our hands on their latest smartphone models—S8 and S8 Plus. Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge Org claims that it’s going to be the most stylish smartphone that packs a lot of advanced features; from a new digital assistant called Bixby to a beefed-up camera.

There’s no doubt, that Samsung is set to regain their consumers trust after their terrifying Galaxy Note 7 battery exploding fiasco. Rumor has it, that S8 and S8 Plus is shaping up to be VERY impressive! The models are expected to be release around April of this year.

So here’s to everything we know so far, from their next flagship, specs, and price.

Color & Design

According to GSM Arena, their models are going to be available in the colors Black, White, Gold, Silver, and Pink Gold. In terms of design it may render a 5.5 QHD bezel-free display which gives it an amazing touch for a lot of screen space. Protected with Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 5. Corning states that it’s 4x stronger than their previous series, making the unit scratch resistant and water resistant  said to work under 1.5 meter for 30 minutes. It also sounds like they would join phasing out the 3.5mm headphone jack to make room for stereo speakers and a larger battery.

Display

To meet the growing popularity of virtual reality Samsung has finally brought in a more improved 4K video display with an amazing user interface. The resolution gives you an HD display that reaches up to 4096 x 2160 pixels. Showcasing an on-screen button of the device its deemed to be a finger print-sensing display.

Camera

Since it’s the rise of dual lens camera, we sense that they would also follow  this trend. They will cater a 12 mega pixel dual lens rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. A 1/2.5″ sensor size, geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch focus, face and smile detection with incremental feature to image quality, low-light focus performance, and focusing speed. Not much details about other features of their beefed-up camera, but we are certain that they have something big up on their sleeves. Maybe we’ll just have to wait and see for now.

Speakers

We found out that Samsung partnered with Harman Kardon. Harman is known to be a great company with an unmatched audio quality. Adding that to S8 and S8 Plus technology will make their phones audio quality the greatest in the smartphone industry.

Performance

Having a lot of features to a phone will require a stunning speed and outstanding performance. So to power the engine, former rumors states that it would run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, but recently there were notions that Exynos 9 processor with ARM’s Mali-G71 GPU chipset will run on their latest Galaxy S series. Add that leaves us with the notion that it will run on a longer and much higher battery life. It will run on a 3250 mAh in S8 and 3750 mAh battery in S8 Plus.

Storage capacities  Yet again batteries worries aside

Based on some reports, it will run a 6GB of RAM with 64GB to 128GB of on-board storage, depending on the model. They will also have the option of adding more capacity via micro SD.

Other Features

Leaks has been flying around that Samsung has been prepping a unique feature. They call it Samsung Desktop Experience, kind of like Continuum does on Windows 10. They will also carry a document editor, photo/video editor, retina eye scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, Qi/PMA wireless charging, and fast battery charging features.

Price

After all the dilly dally, what’s the price range? It’s quite obvious that they need to achieve a high record of sales this year after losing over batter exploding debacle. This might leave us with the assumption that they might increase the cost. Well, you guest that right. According to Deccan Chronicles, these bad boys are said to cost around $950 and $1,050. If that’s the case Samsung users may have a hard time to swallow the cost. Who knows? Samsung may have last minute changes on their price list.
