Movember is an annual event that takes place in November. Throughout November, men grew moustaches and even styled their moustaches in a fun and unique way. The nicest aspect about this event is that people can donate to their charity.
Gillette, a leading maker of high-end razors and other shaving products across Europe, approached us with the fun and exciting idea of utilising social media to raise funds and awareness.
The concept is to provide men with a way to take images themselves with various sorts of moustaches they wish to grow during Movember, post them on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, and at the end of November, they can compare themselves to that post and see how well they did, and people may donate.
LTI takes on the job of bringing that exciting and imaginative concept to life. We used Augmented Reality Software (SparkAR) to build a filter that allows people to take a photo of themselves with moustaches and see how they would look on social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram, bringing the campaign’s amazing idea to life. We’ve included a variety of moustache styles and colours for users to choose from.
On November 1, 2021, the project’s final product was broadcast live across Europe. This initiative has been a resounding success. We received a large number of participants, shares, and donations for a chosen charity, and the greatest part is that we have gained a large number of new supporters for the awareness initiative.
